Production Facilities

Designed by veteran architect Dante Benini, Abdi İbrahim production facilities started to operate in 2000 in Bahçeşehir, leads the modern era with having high technology. Equipped with a state-of-the-art technology with an investment of 100 million dollars, established on 87000 m2 area and an annual capacity of approximately 260 million boxes in 2 shifts, our production complex is among the leading drug production facilities in the global Pharmaceutical Industry. All systems used in the facility which have the latest technology in the world are compliant with current good manufacturing practices requirements. With its modern facility, Abdi İbrahim produces high quality pharmaceuticals utilizing contemporary and environment-friendly technologies.

Employing over 500 specialized and competent professionals in the production facilities and over 2800 professionals in the company totally, Abdi Ibrahim Pharmaceuticals is the biggest employer in the Turkish Drug Industry and has the largest marketing and sales staff in the sector.

Being aware of safety and environmental-friendly, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 certificates heve been obtained. The Production Facilities have been approved by European Health Authorities.

At Bahçeşehir Plant of Abdi İbrahim, for the year 2009, 12% for solid forms and 34% for liquid and semi-solid forms of the total production in terms of units were the products contract manufactured for the world's leading medicine companies.

Abdi İbrahim production facilities consist of 4 sections:

Solid Production Department

At the Solid Production section; tablets, capsules, powder suspensions and sachet products are manufactured and it is made up of 3 parts basically;

Granulation process is carried out firstly in solid form products. Then, the prepared powder mixture is formed into the tablets or filled into the capsules. Finally, surface of the tablets are coated and the product is being ready for the packaging process.

Solid Packaging Department

The semi-product, prepared at the Solid Production Department, is packaged by high speed and equipped with high-tech and globally well-known branded packaging lines in the Solid Packaging Department. Basically, blistering and packaging processes are carried out in this department. The packaging lines where dry mixtures are filled into bottles or sachets and packaged are also located in the Solid Packaging Department

Liquid & Semi-Solid Production Department

At the Liquid & Semi-Solid Production Department; syrup, suspension, oral drop, lotion spray, cream, ointment, gel, and suppository products are manufactured with production tanks having automatic processing and closed product transfer systems.

Liquid & Semi-Solid Packaging Department

The semi-product, prepared at the Liquid & Semi-Solid Production Department, is packaged by high speed and equipped with high-tech and globally well-known branded packaging lines in the Liquid & Semi-Solid Packaging Department. Basically, filling and packaging processes are carried out in this department. Lotion, spray and suppository filling machines are also located at the Liquid & Semi-Solid Packaging Department.
