Abdi ibrahim receives two gold stevie awards at once!

Abdi İbrahim became a holder of two gold awards at the Stevie International Business Awards. The corporation’s “Health to Your Home” internal communications project took the Stevie Award in the category of “Most Innovative Use of HR Technology During the Pandemic” while its “Regional Manager Selection Process” project won in the “Career Management Achievement” category.

Abdi İbrahim was deemed eligible for two awards at the 2020 Stevie Awards for two important projects it implemented in the area of human resources. The 15th annual Stevie Awards was organized in different categories and 700 applications were assessed.

While the “Health to Your Home” internal communications project won the Stevie Award in the category of “Most Innovative Use of HR Technology During the Pandemic,” the “Regional Manager Selection Process” project won in the “Career Management Achievement” category.

Held by the most prestigious organization in the US, the Stevie Awards ceremony, where many companies from many different countries vie for acknowledgement of their human resources projects, their achievements and their professional teams, will be held on November 5, 2020.

Commenting on this, Abdi İbrahim Human Resources Assistant General Manager Hakan Onel said: “We at Abdi İbrahim are very proud to have received two gold awards from the Stevie Awards, which are among the world’s most prestigious awards, for two of our successful projects. Besides our achievements in the field of health, we are happy to have registered such prominent success in our human resources projects as well. It is also very important to have been acknowledged for our efforts, especially in this time of the pandemic that has taken hold of the world and cast such uncertainty into our lives.”

Describing the details of the award-winning projects, Hakan Onel continued by saying, “In our ‘Regional Manager Selection” project, the hundreds of job applications received over the last 5 years were reconfigured and assessed using scientific methods. We offer in this project an objective and fair technique to evaluate our current human resources, working with the motto, ‘Everyone is a talent at Abdi İbrahim.’ This year we were again successful in implementing the regional management selection process as a part of our efforts to support the talents and career development of our in-house teams.

“We launched the Health to Your Home project at the very start of the pandemic, adapting very quickly to the situation and producing 45-minute broadcasts on matters such as healthy living, psychology, family communications, hobbies, skills, and personal growth. These presentations were conducted by colleagues from the company’s own ranks or by guest experts who

participated in these activities on a completely voluntary basis. Since the start of this project that enjoyed the participation of members of the Abdi İbrahim family on March 30 the total number of participants in the 108 live broadcasts produced has grown to 20,000 with our total reach rising to about 80,000. We aimed in this program to be in close communication with our employees during the time of the pandemic, to ensure that they socialize and continue with their personal growth, thereby contributing to providing psychological and mental relief. We helped them to learn more about different subjects, find new hobbies, and supported them in their efforts to live through these challenging times healthily and productively.”
