Abdi İbrahim Strengthens Its International Markets Organization with Two Senior Appointments

Abdi İbrahim continues to strengthen its growth in international markets with experienced leaders. In this context, Natasha Poposka has been appointed as Country Manager for North Macedonia, and Wael Okasha as Country Manager for the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Maintaining its uninterrupted leadership in the Turkish pharmaceutical sector for 24 years, Abdi İbrahim continues to extend this strong position steadily across international markets. Operating with its own organizational structure in 19 countries outside Türkiye, the company exports to more than 70 countries, spanning a wide geography from European Union countries to Canada, and from North Africa to Asia and the Middle East. In line with this strategy, the company has made two senior appointments to support its growth in international markets.

Natasha Poposka: Country Manager, North Macedonia

Natasha Poposka holds a degree in Pharmacy from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University and a master’s degree in Business Administration. She began her career at GlaxoSmithKline, where she held roles as Sales Manager and Therapeutic Area Lead. She later joined Sandoz, taking on responsibilities as Rx Business Unit Head, Marketing & Portfolio Manager, and Business Development Manager across North Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo. She subsequently served as Marketing and Sales Director for North Macedonia at Jaka Nova and most recently worked as Commercial Director at Septima Skopje. As of April, Natasha Poposka has assumed her role as Country Manager of Abdi İbrahim North Macedonia. With this appointment, Abdi İbrahim aims further to strengthen its presence and effectiveness in the Balkans while initiating operations in the North Macedonia market through its newly established organizational structure.

Wael Okasha: Country Manager, United Arab Emirates

A graduate of the Faculty of Commerce at Helwan University, Okasha began his career in business development and finance. Following his experience at Route, Acuman, and General Motors, he joined Sandoz. During his tenure at Sandoz, he held several senior roles including Egypt Business Planning & Analysis Manager, MENA Business Planning & Analysis Manager, Middle East Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and UAE & Kuwait Business Unit Head. Most recently, he served as General Manager for Dubai & UAE at PromoPharma. Okasha has now assumed his role as Country Manager within Abdi İbrahim’s UAE organization.

Both country managers will be responsible for developing commercial operations and strengthening the organization in their respective markets, in line with Abdi İbrahim’s growth objectives.
