International Award for Abdi İbrahim Foundation’s House of Kindness

House of Kindness Wins Silver Stevie Award at the 2026 International Business Awards

Abdi İbrahim Foundation has been honored with a Silver Stevie Award in the “Corporate Social Responsibility” category at the 2026 International Business Awards for the House of Kindness, an initiative established to support children undergoing cancer treatment and their families.

In its evaluation, the international jury highlighted the social impact of the House of Kindness’s holistic model, which brings together accommodation, education and psychosocial support for children undergoing treatment.

The House of Kindness, established by the Abdi İbrahim Foundation, provides free accommodation for children who travel to Istanbul from different cities across Türkiye for cancer treatment and whose families need accommodation support due to financial circumstances. With 18 rooms and a capacity to accommodate 45 people at a time, the House of Kindness welcomes children aged 2–15 together with their families, free of charge.

In addition to accommodation, the House of Kindness offers educational activities, workshops and psychosocial support programs. The House of Kindness aims to support children throughout their treatment without separating them from their families or the natural flow of everyday life, while also helping families become socially and emotionally stronger during this challenging period.

Now in its 23rd year, the International Business Awards recognize the achievements of organizations, executives and entrepreneurs from around the world, with entries evaluated by an international jury. Jury members described the House of Kindness as a meaningful and well-structured social impact initiative that addresses a critical need for pediatric cancer patients and their families. The scope of the support provided and the number of children and families reached were also cited as indicators of the initiative’s strong social impact. The jury further emphasized the House of Kindness’s approach as one that “goes beyond a one-off charitable effort and demonstrates a genuine commitment to social responsibility.”

Hope for Children, Solidarity for Families

To support children’s development and strengthen families socially, more than 3,000 hours of activities have been delivered to date through the educational, workshop and psychosocial support programs offered at the House of Kindness. These activities support children’s emotional, social and cognitive development while also helping families acquire new skills and become socially empowered.
Since opening its doors, the House of Kindness has provided free accommodation to approximately 200 children and more than 500 people, including their family members.
